Logotype and Branding

Methodology

I initally wanted to create a brand that had a vintage 50's "Madmen" style. After running through a few names I decided on the name "Dapper." It had a vintage, but sophisicated feel without taking it self too seriously. As I did more research I thought that the 50's style might be too niche of a market. I decided to go with a brand that was more "classic" instead of vintage. I decided I would just use the logotype "Dapper" in the Operetta 12 regular font.

Dapper Styles

  • Colors: Simple color monochrome color pallette of red to indicate boldness and strength. I wanted the emphasis to be on the images of the clothes
    • Primary color: #DB4437
    • Secondary color: #C26057
  • Fonts: Roboto font for headers and body text. Since the Operetta font was more decorative with the serifs, I wanted something to balance it out.
    • Header 1: Roboto 48px
    • Header 2: Roboto 36px
    • paragraph: Roboto 16px
  • Photography: Active poses in an outdoor environment. I want to evoke a feeling of adventure in the target audience
